Computational Models of Spoken Language Acquisition and Evolution

A biologically inspired approach is employed at modelling spoken language acquisition. This involves an investigation into the evolutionary and environmental frameworks and requirements demanded for a language model to evolve. Such an investigation coincides with the development of the computational model itself, which presently is being derived on the basis of biologically feasible neurological signalling and structural models, as well as neural population signalling schemes and decision making.
